Surrey and Sussex Branch
Until 2005 this Branch was known as the Crawley Branch, as that was where the first meetings took place. Over the years the membership increased, until with members coming from as far afield as Carshalton and Shoreham it was agreed that the Branch should adopt its current name. Any Society member from Surrey or either part of Sussex will be made welcome. Meetings are generally held in members' houses, although occasionally a social gathering is arranged at a local pub.
During the 1980s and 1990s the Branch held many Annual Open Days in Crawley, which were well attended by Society members from all over southern England. With falling attendance and increasing hall rent this was abandoned for a time, but recently the Open Day has been re-established and now takes place in Merstham, which is only a few miles from junction 8 of the M25.
Members of the Branch help, as volunteers, at both Ditchling and Amberley Printing Museums.
